Our Philosophy
Veld started in 2019 as a small shop on Alberta Street with twelve makers and a point of view: that your home deserves objects with stories, not things with shipping labels.
Every piece we carry comes from someone we've met, visited, or worked with directly. If we can't tell you how it was made and why it exists, we don't stock it.

Natural fibers, solid wood, hand-thrown clay. We look for makers who can tell you where everything came from.
We've visited the studios. Every maker we carry has a process we respect — century-old techniques or something entirely new.
We don't chase seasons. If you wouldn't want it in your home in five years, we won't sell it today.
